I'm not sure really. I think that's really the answer that should be expected from everybody. Anyone who says differently is either lying to themselves or to the asker. I suppose my base philosophy is that I do everything in my power to be and remain happy for as long as possible with the minimum repercussions. It's a selfish worldview, if one disregards that charities and acts of kindness also accrue happiness. With that as a given, then any act can be made to look selfish. That strikes me as odd though. If one takes the pursuit of happiness not as a right but as a human requirement, then the concept of selfishn
